Look yaar, what Tehran does so well is it puts you right there with RK where you can’t tell who’s your friend and who wants to finish you off. Seriously, the way they’ve shown this spy business – it’s bloody terrifying, man. You’re constantly looking over your shoulder, thinking every person who comes up to shake hands might be the one to put a knife in your back.
But the real kick in the gut comes when our own government just drops him like a hot potato. That hurts more than any beating he takes from the bad guys, I’m telling you. It’s like your own people saying “we don’t know this fellow” when things get messy. That’s when something changes inside RK completely.
After that betrayal, this whole thing stops being about following orders from some officer sitting in Delhi. It becomes his own personal war, you know? Now he’s not doing it because his seniors told him to – he’s doing it because he needs to prove he was right, that he’s not some loose cannon they can just throw away. The man wants his respect back, wants people to listen to his side of the story.
